Wifi Egg is much more stable as compared to phone’s Personal Hotspot

I guess this topic is just too trivial for any tech expert or tech savvy. Wifi-egg (more well-known as portable wifi / Pocket wifi).

For a very long time, as the wifi connection is very unstable in my room, I always rely on my phone’s personal hotspot to use wifi on my laptop and other devices like iPad that don’t have sim-card on it and can only rely on mobile’s personal hotspot or wifi.

I was once think that phone’s personal hotspot is just the same as wifi egg. But last week, I finally bought a TP-link wifi egg for the first time. The using experience of wifi egg is really different. Maybe wifi egg is a device built primarily for providing wifi for numerous devices in the venue. The portable wifi just functions like a normal wifi from Router or mesh wifi. It is much more stable as compared to personal hotspot.

Firstly, the devices, like laptop/iPad will not disconnect with the portable wifi once the devices are left idle. Secondly, the speed seems faster on Wifi egg as compared to personal hotspot, provided that I am using the same prepaid sim card by 3 Hong Kong, with 60 GB data selling at the price of 33 Hong Kong dollar. Seamless browsing experience on the internet is like you don’t even aware of the existence of wifi. And wifi egg certainly can function in this way.
